It goes with the belief that the moon landing was filmed at Area 51, and Martians are from Mars.
The story is that Jim Carrey underwent face surgery. Notice this award ceremony was 40 days after his birthday or the 41st day of his age (Surgery=40 & 41).
The awards began in ’76 (Surgery=76).
