France dominates sports, May 30, 2026 (From Spurs to PSG)
The NBA Finals will be a repeat of the NBA Cup, where the Knicks defeated the Spurs.
Keep in mind this is the 80th NBA season, and Jalen Brunson, the star of the New York Knicks, won the 80th March Madness tournament, with Villanova, the Pope’s alma mater, in San Antonio.
The last time the World Cup was in the United States, 1994, the Knicks lost to the Rockets in the NBA Finals. And the last time the Knicks were in the Finals, in 1999, they lost to the Spurs. That was 27 years ago (Ritual=27, Soccer=27).
Adding to the French theme, on this same day, Paris Saint-Germain won the UEFA Champions League.
