NFL Week 7 Rituals to Remember

Sports

The Steelers improved to 9-9 vs. the Saints, winning with 16 points, and the game ending on the 16 yard line, tying in with the Steelers winning Super Bowl 9, in New Orleans, with 16 points.

*16 was a theme, as these games were played 16 weeks before Super Bowl 61, and 136 days after Joe Montana’s birthday, the 16th triangular number (Rodgers idolized #16, Joe Montana, growing up, and wore a Montana jersey under his suit for the NFL Draft).

The Niners fell to 6-1, in the year of Super Bowl 61, vs. the Falcons, in their 61st season (Mercedes-Benz=61).

Brock Purdy got his 16th loss.

The Vikings, who are -61 in point differential in the four Super Bowls they lost in, became the only undefeated team.

Look for them to fall to 6-1 next week vs. the Lions (Detroit Lions=61).

Keep in mind the Vikings lost to the Steelers in Super Bowl 9, with a score of 16-6 (they both won with 16).

The Dolphins, Brock Purdy’s favorite team, got their first win, as Purdy got his first loss of the year.

*The Falcons and Dolphins are the only teams in their 61st season.

JJ McCarthy won his first game with NY, in the stadium he won the college football championship.

He improved the Giants to 1-1-1 away as a 10 point underdog (New York=111, JJ McCarthy=111).

Sam Darnold improved to 20-6 as a Seahawks, for the (206) area code.

The Seahawks stayed on 67 losses in the regular season in their stadium, on the day leaving 67 days in the year, in tribute to Chief Seattle, who died on June 7 in history (6/7 — Kansas City=67, Chief Seattle=67). Keep in mind that 67 is the 19th prime number, and this game was played 19 days before Seattle’s November 13 birthday, as the Seahawks made bird teams 15-19 for the year, and 6-11 at home, in tribute to Joe Montana, who wore #19 for the Chiefs, and was born on June 11.
