Flight 171 is noteworthy for two reasons. One, 171 is the 131st composite number, and the flight was en route to London (London, England=131). 171 is also the 18th triangular number, and today has 18 date numerology (IHS=18 & 18).
As for him being in seat 11A, 11A is 111, a reminder of the biggest plane event of the 21st Century. That is September 11, 2001, and September 11 leaves 111 days in the year. Recall, the first plane to hit the towers that looked like an 11, in the 11th state, was Flight AA-11, or 11-11.
