Demolition Man & the almost always present 47 & 74 symbolism
47.
47.
Then get a load of the 74 reference.
‘John’ Spartan is the hero cop, nicknamed Demolition Man.
The symbol of the Order of the Quest is the phoenix rising from the ashes, which is a phrase used in the film, in regards to the criminal, Simon Phoenix.
For one more, get a load of the “47-year-old” virgin commentary.
This is a fitting movie for the “coronavirus” times, you’ll especially enjoy the joke about the “3 sea shells”, which have replaced toilet paper, in the future city of San Angeles, a merger of San Diego and Los Angeles. You might also notice this future city is lead by a man who is much like a figure of the church, or a pope…
The movie is set in 1996 and 2032, the latter year reminding of the 32 sun rays on the Society of Jesus’ logo.
The red cross symbolism throughout the movie is hard to miss as well, connecting to the Catholic Church, like the Jesuit Order. Speaking of which, the leader of the fictional city is Dr. Raymond Cocteau.
The name Raymond Cocteau alone has second connection to the Jesuits, who were formed August 15, or 15/8, like 158.
