    The link with “Palantir” is interesting as Palantir was named after “a mystical, all-powerful seeing stone in “Lord of the Rings.”

    In the books, there were a number of Palantir – one of their original purposes was for the “elites” to communicate with each other. The Dark Lord acquired one and used it to manipulate the other Palantir holders as well as to become an almost all-seeing, all-knowing entity.
