Ex-MLB star Yoervis Medina dies in a car crash during the World Series, and is mourned on Halloween, October 31, 2025

Yoervis Medina was one of the numerous celebrity deaths during the World Series, something that goes on every single year, sadly. In this case, he supposedly had a heart attack while driving, and then was involved in a fatal car accident.
His name equates to 69, like ‘World Series.’

His death came on October 30, the day leaving 62 days in the year, the day the World Series teams traveled back to Toronto, where the Mariners, Yoervis Medina’s team, was eliminated in the ALCS.

Keep in mind that the Mariners play in the same league as the Blue Jays, going with his death coming 95 days after his birthday, and him being mourned on Halloween, the anniversary of Martin Luther pinning the 95 Theses.

He played 17 professional seasons, going with the World Series ending 17 weeks after #17’s birthday, Shohei Ohtani. Keep in mind 153 is the 17th triangular number, and the Dodgers got their 153rd postseason win, by winning the World Series in Game 7.
