The Symbolism of Tops, Uvalde and the French Open of Tennis. Skull and Bones and the Small Town Tragedy Celebrity.
The most salient socio-political subject in the United States at the time of writing this post is gun control. Americans’ right to bear arms is under threat of severe restriction info outright elimination based on the shock of several high-profile mass shootings.
The Tops supermarket mass shooting in Buffalo, New York was the primary event that captured national and world-wide headlines until the Uvalde Elementary School shooting just 10 days later.
In my previous post I alluded to the symbolism of the Tops shooting in conjunction with associated events like the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting. Symbols are are carefully and deliberately chosen.
I alluded to the Tops Supermarket logo. Two dimensionally it appears to be a diamond with an arrow adjoined; three dimensionally it is a red cube with one white side.
A very similar symbol appears in the super-successful movie Hunger Games that is related to the Tops supermarket shooting and Sandy Hook. The author of the Hunger Games Suzanne Collins lives in Sandy Hook, Newtown, Connecticut. One of the attorneys for the Sandy Hook families publicly made a direct comparison to the Tops Buffalo shooting. The resulting closing of the supermarket aligns with the hunger theme: it is the only supermarket in that particular neighborhood. The arrow is a primary symbol of the Hunger Games, as it is a symbol of Tops Friendly Supermarkets.
10 days after the Tops shooting was the Robb Elementary School shooting in Uvalde, Texas. Uvalde native, cinematic superstar Matthew McConaughey made a speech at the White House Press Briefing room where he highlighted a pair of green Converse sneakers that allegedly belonged to a shooting victim.
The White House tree briefing room is named after former White House Press Secretary James Scott Brady who was shot by John Hinckley Jr. when he attempted to assassinate Ronald Reagan at the Washington Hilton Hotel on Connecticut Avenue. Secret Service agent Tim McCarthy was shot in the chest in the incident. He has the same June 20th birthday as the accused Tops supermarket shooter Payton S Gendron.
10 days after the May 24th Robb Elementary School shooting was a curious incident in the men’s semi-finals of the French Open of Tennis when a climate activist made world headlines by weathering herself to a net post.
Of interest is the logo behind her which resembles the Tops supermarket logo: two dimensionally a diamond with an arrow pointing to the right. This is the logo of French Open tournament sponsor Renault automobiles.
The same right-pointed arrow is also a symbol of Converse.
