Tarik Skubal wins record $32 million arbitration one day after Mickey Lolich dies (two guys who pitched and wore #29 for the Tigers)

Yesterday, #29, Mickey Lolich, of the Detroit Tigers, died, in a major Jesuit-Catholic ritual. Now today, Tarik Skubal, #29, makes history. Of course, Skubal went to the Jesuit University, Seattle U.

Read about Mickey Lolich’s sacrifice for Portland’s historic upset of Jesuit Gonzaga on February 4, 2026.
Notice this ritual with Skubal comes on the 78th day of his age (Jesuit=78, Tigers=78 — Tarik Skubal=172, Ad maiorem Dei gloriam=172).

Notice Skubal won his most recent Cy Young on the Superior General’s birthday, November 12.

Arturo Sosa became the Superior General on October 14, the day leaving 78 days in the year.
And as for the $32 million, it goes with the 32 sun rays on the Jesuit Order’s logo. Remember when the Dodgers ended the 32 year drought vs. the Rays? These are “Jesuit jokes.”

At the time of this ritual, Skubal has 54 wins in the regular season, and 56 wins including the postseason (Jesuit Order=54, Society of Jesus, *Sun=54, *Baseball=54).

For one more, notice that Tarik Skubal and Mickey Lolich both equate to 125 (Numerology=125).
