The Jesuit motto Ad maiorem Dei gloriam emerged from the Thirty Years War.

Notice the Thirty Years War began 78 years after 1540, the year that the Roman Catholic Church recognized the Jesuits. It was also 84 years after the Jesuits were created in 1534 (Jesuit=87 & 78).

Keep in mind the 32nd Degree of the Scottish Rite shares the motto with the Jesuits (Masonry=84, Scottish Rite=78).

Also, don’t forget the connection with both orders and war (War=42, Jesuit=42, Freemason=42).
