Trump cancels trade relations with Canada over Reagan’s anti-tariff ad, just in time for the World Series, October 23, 2025

As for today’s news, the day of Game 1 of the World Series between the USA and Canada (Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays), the media is focused on Trump cancelling trade negotiations with Canada due to an ad that Canada ran during the ALCS between the Toronto Blue Jays and Seattle Mariners. It’s a real clip of Ronald Reagan, the other Hollywood actor that was once President after being the 33rd Governor in California, talking about the downside of tariffs. Trump has called it fake, but that is only because Trump is playing the character of the snake, the lying serpent (Trump=47, Beast=47, Tariffs=47).

Reagan’s remarks on tariffs were delivered from the Oval Office on April 25, 1987, the 115th day of the year. It’s a reminder that Trump took office the first time with the 115th Congress, and the second time, with the November 5th election of 11/5.
