A WEEK BEFORE THE SANTA CRUZ EARTHQUAKE THAT WAS RECORDED DURING THE A’S WORLD SERIES BASEBALL GAME IN OAKLAND. MY FREINDS DOG WOULD NOT STOP SCREAMING. AFTER DAYS OF THIS SHE HAD HER DOG KENNLED AT THE VETS. THEY COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHY SHE WAS SCREAMING, BUT AFTER EARTHQUAKE SHE STOPPED.
AS TIME WENT BY AND THE DOG EXPERIENCED MORE EARTHQUAKES THE SCREAMING WOULD BEGIN. SO WE JUST CALLED HER THE EARTHQUAKE PREDICTER.
ALSO AFTER THE 1989 EARTHQUAKE UNMARKED BLACK SEMIS WERE DRIVING THROUGH SANTA CRUZ LATE AT NIGHT. WE WERE SUSPICIOUS. BUT THEN NOT SO MUCH WHEN WE LEARNED PRESIDENT BUTSH, THE FIRST ONE WAS COMING TO TOWN. WE THOUGHT IT WAS FOR SECURITY. NOW I’M NOT SURE.
