Kurt Vonnegut’s “ice-nine” warning, in light of the record ice storm of 2026
Read about the historic “ice storm” in the United States, in the same week it was revealed that ICE can raid people’s homes and properties without a warrant.
Thinking more on the subject, I was reminded about Kurt Vonnegut’s warning in Cat’s Cradle, where “ice-nine” has the power to destroy the world (and that is ideas were based on his brother’s research at General Electric).
