Of course, there are a lot of resorts in Maui, and in California, two places that have seen a lot of fire destruction blamed on weather conditions and record heat in recent years. Furthermore, the November 8 Paradise fire parallels why on August 11 the destruction of Lahaina was front and center in the news.
