Where Squid Game’s 456 contestants becoming 201 pays tribute to the Jesuit Order, and its founder, Ignatius of Loyola (and Johnson & Johnson’s $456-million contract after Event 201)
In the new TV show Squid Game, as many people are aware, there is a slaughter of humans when the new rules of a childhood game, Red Light, Green Light, are learned for a group of adults. In the slaughter, the number of contestants falls from 456, to 201.

Ignatius of Loyola is the founder of the Jesuit Order (Society of Jesus), and that is why Squid Game is also full of Jesus references and symbolism, including bloody crosses.
